Now hiring paid Full-TIme and Part-Time positions.  Candidate(s) must be a team player, be in possession of valid EMT-B certification with current CPR, NIMS 100,200, 700, and EVOC.  Experienced individuals preferred, but all skill levels will be considered. The ECAA utilizes a combination of paid professionals and volunteer professionals to provide its services.

We utilize an EMS Manager and EMS Supervisor to provide management responsibilities of the paid EMT positions, to schedule our paratransit transfers, to coordinate the out-sourced billing functions and to manage the ECAA office.

The full-time paid EMTs are scheduled mostly on weekdays. Extra hours are offered on weekends. The part-time EMTs are scheduled as needed.

A brief job descriptions is as follows:

EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Complete vehicle checks at start of shift
  • Run emergency calls
  • Run non-emergency calls
  • Run paratransit transports
  • Inside/outside station duties
  • De-contaminate the vehicles as needed
  • Any other duties given by the EMS Manager or Supervisor

CERTIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

  • Current ARC or AHA CPR (BLS level)
  • Current PA Emergency Medical Technician
  • EVOC
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • HAZ-MAT operations
  • NIMS 100, 200 and 700
  • Pre-employment background check
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Pre-employment physical capability screening
  • Child abuse checks by the FBI, PA State Police and the PA Dept. of Human Services
